Procedure for reviewing of the manuscripts, submitted to the journal "Oil and Gas Technologies"

The most important task of the scientific and technological journal "Oil and Gas Technologies" Editorial is to maintain a high scientific level of  publications. The manuscripts, submitted for publication, are peer reviewed in order to evaluate and validate their relevance, viability and scientific innovation.

Before being reviewed the manuscripts are being examinated and selected by editor and deputy editor. After that, to make a final decision on the publication, the manuscripts are submitted for peer review of the scientific members of the Editorial Board, or sent for review to the most famous and qualified specialists of the relevant profile.

In the case of the controversial nature of the discussion or submission, the manuscript is sent for re-reviewing to another reviewer — by the decision of the majority of the Editorial Board members.

The review reflects the name of the article and matching of its content for the journal. The relevance, novelty, theoretical and practical importance of the submissions, and also the availability of the article to readers in terms of the language, style, structure, etc. are assessed. A reviewer can agree or disagree with the provisions of the manuscript. The conclusion indicates the possibility or impossibility of the publication of the manuscript, submitted to the journal "Oil and Gas Technologies", or the need for its further development.

Duration of the consideration and reviewing of the manuscript is up to 30 days. The results of peer review are reported to the authors without identification of the experts or reviewers.
